Jellycat Amuseables Jellysaucer

Jellycat Amuseables Jellysaucer stands 25 cm tall, a silver grey amuseable with the quiet heft Jellycat is known for.

What it is like to hold

Amuseables work because the joke is gentle. Amuseables Jellysaucer is silver grey, given a face and two feet and otherwise left to be the thing it is, and the restraint is the reason it still looks right on a shelf a year later.

Size and fit

Amuseables Jellysaucer measures 25 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

The collection it belongs to

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Amuseables Jellysaucer belongs to Amuseables, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Who it is for

It reads as novelty and fun, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

Where this sits in our shop

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Amuseables Jellysaucer included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
