Jellycat Amuseables Ukulele

Jellycat Amuseables Ukulele is 37 cm of brown amuseable, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.

The piece itself

Amuseables work because the joke is gentle. Amuseables Ukulele is brown, given a face and two feet and otherwise left to be the thing it is, and the restraint is the reason it still looks right on a shelf a year later.

How big it is

The height is 37 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Part of the Amuseables range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Amuseables Ukulele belongs to Amuseables, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Suitability

Filed under novelty and fun, and chosen here for a birthday and no particular reason at all more than anything else. It reads as considered rather than expensive, which is usually the harder thing to get right in a gift.

About A Flying Wish

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Amuseables Ukulele is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
