Jellycat Amuseables Sandcastle
Amuseables Sandcastle arrives in beige with a little warmth in it, closer to sand than stone. A character before it is an object, which is the whole reason it works. It asks for nothing and gets adopted anyway.

Jellycat Amuseables Sandcastle is a beige amuseable from Jellycat, and it stands 29 cm tall.
A closer look
Amuseables work because the joke is gentle. Amuseables Sandcastle is beige, given a face and two feet and otherwise left to be the thing it is, and the restraint is the reason it still looks right on a shelf a year later.
Measurements and fit
Amuseables Sandcastle measures 29 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.
The collection it belongs to
Amuseables Sandcastle belongs to Jellycat’s Amuseables range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Amuseables pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.
Made from, and looking after it
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.
Suitability
We list it under novelty and fun, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.
Why we stock it
A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Amuseables Sandcastle is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
