Sized by seated height, which is how a garment actually meets a soft body. A Bashful listed at 31 cm wears our 28 cm.

How they are made
Cut, sewn and finished by hand
Not printed, not heat-pressed, not assembled from a kit. Each garment is drafted around a real plush, sewn in small numbers, and checked before it is sent.

Drafted around a real plush
Each pattern is made on the body it is for, then named after its height. That is why a size is a number and not a letter.

Real cloth, chosen to hold its shape
Cotton blends, fine-wale corduroy, proper knits. They give gently across a seam, which is what lets a garment ease over a soft body.

Sewn in small numbers
A run is a few pieces, not a container. Fastenings are stitched rather than glued, and every piece is checked before it is sent.

Built to be dressed and undressed
Openings are cut so ears and tails pass through, and nothing is tight enough to squash a plush or loose enough to slide off.
Why handmade
Doll clothes are made to a size. Ours are made to a plush.
Generic doll clothing is drafted for a hard, straight-limbed body and sold by a letter. A plush is soft, wide, seated and shaped nothing like a doll, which is why a dress bought for a doll gapes at the shoulders and strains at the middle.

Doll patterns assume a rigid torso and limbs that hold a pose. A plush spreads when it sits, so a garment cut for a doll gapes at the shoulders and strains across the middle.

A letter is a guess. A height is a measurement.
"Medium" once covered 20 to 29 cm here, a nine-centimetre spread on a body barely twenty centimetres tall. Naming the size after the plush it was cut for removes the guess.

Cut in, not cut around. A plush has parts a doll does not, and a garment that ignores them has to be forced on.
Will it fit?
One measurement is all you need
Sit your plush on a flat surface and measure from the top of the head to the base. That figure is the size. There is no letter to decode and no chart to convert.

How do I know which size to order?
Sit the plush on a flat surface and measure from the top of the head to the base, leaving out ears, tails and hanging loops. Every size here is named after that figure, so the number you measure is the size you need.
Will these fit a plush that is not Jellycat or Labubu?
Yes, where the height matches. We size by measurement rather than by brand, so Build-A-Bear, Squishmallows, teddy bears and an old family friend all wear the same outfits as anything else of that height.
Are these Jellycat or Labubu products?
No. We make them by hand and they are designed to fit those plush. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or manufactured by any of those brands. The outfits are ours, the friends are yours.
What if it does not fit?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. We would far rather answer a question before an order than process a return after one, so send us the measurement and we will tell you which size to take.
