Jellycat Vivacious Vegetable Onion stands 9 cm tall, a cream amuseable with the quiet heft Jellycat is known for.
A closer look
Vivacious Vegetable Onion comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run cream and brown, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.
Size and fit
The height is 9 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.
The collection it belongs to
Within Jellycat’s catalogue Vivacious Vegetable Onion belongs to Vivacious Vegetable, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.
Who it is for
It is as fitting for a birthday as for no particular occasion at all. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.
Where this sits in our shop
What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Vivacious Vegetable Onion is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
