Jellycat Amuseables Pear

There is a stillness to Jellycat Amuseables Pear, a green amuseable of 24 cm that asks to be picked up.

The piece itself

Amuseables Pear comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run green, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.

How big it is

The measurement is 24 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Amuseables Pear is part of Amuseables. If you have one already, the rest of that range is the obvious place to look next, and the centimetre sizes overlap often enough that an outfit bought for one will usually fit another. We keep the range listed together for exactly that reason, and the size guide has the full table of what fits what.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Suitability

We list it under amuseables food and drink, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

Why we stock it

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Amuseables Pear included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
