Jellycat Fabulous Fruit Cherry

At 10 cm, Jellycat Fabulous Fruit Cherry is a cherry red amuseable built to be carried rather than shelved.

The piece itself

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Fabulous Fruit Cherry reads as cherry red and green, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

Measurements and fit

The height is 10 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Part of the Fabulous Fruit range

This one comes from the Fabulous Fruit range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Choosing it as a gift

It is as fitting for a birthday as for no particular occasion at all. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.

About A Flying Wish

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Fabulous Fruit Cherry is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
