Jellycat Delia Duck

There is a stillness to Jellycat Delia Duck, a yellow duck of 23 cm that asks to be picked up.

What it is like to hold

Pick Delia Duck up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs yellow, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

Measurements and fit

Delia Duck stands 23 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

The collection it belongs to

Delia Duck belongs to Jellycat’s Jellycat Characters range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Jellycat Characters pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Who it is for

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Why we stock it

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Delia Duck included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
