Jellycat Dorit Duckling

Jellycat Dorit Duckling is a yellow duckling from Jellycat, and it stands 26 cm tall.

The piece itself

Dorit Duckling is made from the dense, brushed fabric Jellycat uses across its animals. The colouring is yellow, deepest along the back and lighter underneath, which is what gives the shape its softness in photographs and in a dim room.

Size and fit

At 26 cm, Dorit Duckling is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

Part of the Jellycat Characters range

This one comes from the Jellycat Characters range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Suitability

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Where this sits in our shop

We are an outfit house first. The plush we stock, Dorit Duckling among them, are the companions those outfits are made for, and we list every garment by the centimetre band it fits so nothing has to be guessed at. Each piece is checked before it is wrapped and sent.
