Jellycat Flossie Donkey

Jellycat Flossie Donkey stands 28 cm tall, a grey donkey with the quiet heft Jellycat is known for.

A closer look

Flossie Donkey has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of grey carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Size and fit

Flossie Donkey measures 28 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Flossie Donkey sits within the Flossie range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Choosing it as a gift

It is as fitting for a birthday as for no particular occasion at all. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Flossie Donkey among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
