Jellycat Bashful Lamb

A cream lamb from Jellycat, Jellycat Bashful Lamb is stocked in two sizes, 18 cm and 31 cm so there is one to suit the shelf it is going on.

The piece itself

Pick Bashful Lamb up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs cream, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

Size and fit

At 18 cm and 31 cm depending on the size chosen, Bashful Lamb is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

The collection it belongs to

The Bashful range is where Bashful Lamb comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Choosing it as a gift

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

About A Flying Wish

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Bashful Lamb is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
