Jellycat Carniflore Priscilla
Carniflore Priscilla comes in a green borrowed from leaves rather than paint. There is a personality in the stitching, and it does most of the talking. The face is embroidered rather than printed, so nothing about it can wear away. It is the kind of thing people keep.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.

There is a stillness to Jellycat Carniflore Priscilla, a green amuseable of 29 cm that asks to be picked up.
What it is like to hold
Amuseables work because the joke is gentle. Carniflore Priscilla is green and pink, given a face and two feet and otherwise left to be the thing it is, and the restraint is the reason it still looks right on a shelf a year later.
Measurements and fit
Carniflore Priscilla stands 29 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.
The collection it belongs to
This one comes from the Jellycat Characters range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.
Who it is for
As a gift it works for a new home and a new arrival, and it belongs to the home and nursery decor side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.
About A Flying Wish
A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Carniflore Priscilla among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
