Jellycat Amuseable Daffodil Pot

At 29 cm, Jellycat Amuseables Daffodil Pot is a yellow amuseable built to be carried rather than shelved.

What it is like to hold

Amuseables Daffodil Pot comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run yellow and green, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.

Measurements and fit

The measurement is 29 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Amuseables range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Suitability

The piece leans home and nursery decor, and it has been chosen most often here for a new home and a new arrival. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Amuseables Daffodil Pot among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
