Jellycat Amuseables Cream Orchid

A cream amuseable at 30 cm, Jellycat Amuseables Cream Orchid belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

The piece itself

This is one of the Amuseables, the range where everyday objects are given a face and a pair of feet. The colourway is cream and green, and it holds its shape well enough to sit up on its own rather than slump against whatever is behind it.

How big it is

Amuseables Cream Orchid measures 30 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Amuseables Cream Orchid belongs to Amuseables, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Choosing it as a gift

It sits on the home and nursery decor side of the shop and is most often bought for a new home and a new arrival. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.

Where this sits in our shop

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Amuseables Cream Orchid is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
