Sensational Seafood Langoustine jellycat

Jellycat Sensational Seafood Langoustine is 10 cm of orange sea creature, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.

The piece itself

What distinguishes Sensational Seafood Langoustine is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of orange is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Measurements and fit

Sensational Seafood Langoustine measures 10 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Part of the Sensational Seafood range

Sensational Seafood Langoustine sits within the Sensational Seafood range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Choosing it as a gift

Filed under everyday companion, and chosen here for a birthday and no particular reason at all more than anything else. It reads as considered rather than expensive, which is usually the harder thing to get right in a gift.

Where this sits in our shop

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Sensational Seafood Langoustine is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
