Jellycat Douglas Dino

Jellycat Douglas Dino arrives as a green dinosaur, 8 cm from base to ear tip, soft the whole way through.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Douglas Dino is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of green is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

How big it is

The height is 8 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

The collection it belongs to

Douglas Dino belongs to Jellycat’s Jellycat Characters range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Jellycat Characters pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Who it is for

It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Douglas Dino is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
