Jellycat Bashful Dino

A green dinosaur from Jellycat, Jellycat Bashful Dino is stocked in two sizes, 18 cm and 31 cm so there is one to suit the shelf it is going on.

What it is like to hold

Bashful Dino has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of green carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Size and fit

The height is 18 cm and 31 cm depending on the size chosen. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Part of the Bashful range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Bashful Dino belongs to Bashful, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Who it is for

It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Bashful Dino is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
