Jellycat Sensational Seafood Sardine

Jellycat Sensational Seafood Sardine arrives as a blue sea creature, 16 cm from base to ear tip, soft the whole way through.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Sensational Seafood Sardine is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of blue and silver grey is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Size and fit

The measurement is 16 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Sensational Seafood Sardine is part of Sensational Seafood. If you have one already, the rest of that range is the obvious place to look next, and the centimetre sizes overlap often enough that an outfit bought for one will usually fit another. We keep the range listed together for exactly that reason, and the size guide has the full table of what fits what.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Choosing it as a gift

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Sensational Seafood Sardine is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
