Jellycat Ricky Rain Frog

There is a stillness to Jellycat Ricky Rain Frog, a green frog of 15 cm that asks to be picked up.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Ricky Rain Frog is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of green is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

How big it is

The height is 15 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Ricky Rain Frog belongs to Jellycat Characters, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Nothing here needs special products. Warm water and a mild detergent are what the fabric was finished with in the first place, and anything stronger works against it.

Choosing it as a gift

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Where this sits in our shop

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Ricky Rain Frog is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
