Jellycat Vivacious Vegetable Leek

There is a stillness to Jellycat Vivacious Vegetable Leek, a green amuseable of 26 cm that asks to be picked up.

The piece itself

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Vivacious Vegetable Leek reads as green and white, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

Size and fit

Vivacious Vegetable Leek stands 26 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Part of the Vivacious Vegetable range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Vivacious Vegetable Leek belongs to Vivacious Vegetable, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Suitability

We list it under amuseables food and drink, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

Why we stock it

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Vivacious Vegetable Leek is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
