Jellycat Slackajack Monkey
Slackajack Monkey arrives in brown that holds the light rather than swallowing it. It has the gentleness that only genuinely large creatures can afford. It asks for nothing and gets adopted anyway.

There is a stillness to Jellycat Slackajack Monkey, a brown monkey of 33 cm that asks to be picked up.
About Slackajack Monkey
The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Slackajack Monkey sits rather than topples, in a colourway of brown that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.
Size and fit
The height is 33 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.
Part of the Jellycat Characters range
The Jellycat Characters range is where Slackajack Monkey comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.
Choosing it as a gift
It sits on the everyday companion side of the shop and is most often bought for a birthday and no particular reason at all. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.
Where this sits in our shop
A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Slackajack Monkey is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
