Jellycat Colin Chameleon

Jellycat Colin Chameleon is 29 cm of green chameleon, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.

A closer look

Pick Colin Chameleon up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs green, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

Size and fit

Colin Chameleon measures 29 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Colin Chameleon sits within the Jellycat Characters range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Who it is for

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Where this sits in our shop

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Colin Chameleon is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
