Jellycat Jolly Gingerbread Fred is 19 cm of beige festive character, and the weight of it is the first thing anyone notices.
About Jolly Gingerbread Fred
Jolly Gingerbread Fred is made from the dense, brushed fabric Jellycat uses across its animals. The colouring is beige and brown, deepest along the back and lighter underneath, which is what gives the shape its softness in photographs and in a dim room.
Size and fit
Jolly Gingerbread Fred measures 19 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.
The collection it belongs to
The Jolly Gingerbread range is where Jolly Gingerbread Fred comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.
Materials and care
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.
Choosing it as a gift
The piece leans christmas / festive, and it has been chosen most often here for Christmas. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.
Where this sits in our shop
Everything we make is built to celebrate the stories people share with the companions they keep. Jolly Gingerbread Fred sits on our shelves for that reason, and our own outfits are cut to fit it and the rest of the plush in its band. The size guide has the full table.
