Jellycat Fleury Gerbera

At 35 cm, Jellycat Fleury Gerbera is a pink amuseable built to be carried rather than shelved.

The piece itself

This is one of the Amuseables, the range where everyday objects are given a face and a pair of feet. The colourway is pink and green, and it holds its shape well enough to sit up on its own rather than slump against whatever is behind it.

Size and fit

Fleury Gerbera measures 35 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Fleury range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.

Who it is for

It suits a new home or a new arrival equally well. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.

Where this sits in our shop

Everything we make is built to celebrate the stories people share with the companions they keep. Fleury Gerbera sits on our shelves for that reason, and our own outfits are cut to fit it and the rest of the plush in its band. The size guide has the full table.
