Jellycat Clyde Capybara

Jellycat Clyde Capybara is a brown animal from Jellycat, and it stands 21 cm tall.

What it is like to hold

The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Clyde Capybara sits rather than topples, in a colourway of brown that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.

How big it is

At 21 cm, Clyde Capybara is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

The collection it belongs to

Clyde Capybara belongs to Jellycat’s Jellycat Characters range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Jellycat Characters pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Suitability

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Clyde Capybara is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
