Jellycat Cheeky Boiled Egg

There is a stillness to Jellycat Cheeky Boiled Egg, a white amuseable of 14 cm that asks to be picked up.

The piece itself

This is one of the Amuseables, the range where everyday objects are given a face and a pair of feet. The colourway is white and yellow, and it holds its shape well enough to sit up on its own rather than slump against whatever is behind it.

Measurements and fit

At 14 cm, Cheeky Boiled Egg is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

The collection it belongs to

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Cheeky Boiled Egg belongs to Amuseables, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Suitability

It reads as amuseables food and drink, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

About A Flying Wish

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Cheeky Boiled Egg is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
