Jellycat Brambling Squirrel

Jellycat Brambling Squirrel is a brown squirrel from Jellycat, and it stands 18 cm tall.

A closer look

Brambling Squirrel has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of brown carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Measurements and fit

The height is 18 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Brambling Squirrel sits within the Brambling range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.

Suitability

Filed under everyday companion, and chosen here for a birthday and no particular reason at all more than anything else. It reads as considered rather than expensive, which is usually the harder thing to get right in a gift.

Why we stock it

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Brambling Squirrel is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
