Jellycat Bashful Fox Cub

A orange fox at 31 cm, Jellycat Bashful Fox Cub belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.

What it is like to hold

The fur is the soft, slightly weighted kind that has made Jellycat’s animals hard to put down. The colourway is orange and cream, and the face is stitched rather than printed, so it keeps its expression through washing and through years of being carried about.

Size and fit

Bashful Fox Cub measures 31 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Part of the Bashful range

Within Jellycat’s catalogue Bashful Fox Cub belongs to Bashful, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Nothing here needs special products. Warm water and a mild detergent are what the fabric was finished with in the first place, and anything stronger works against it.

Who it is for

It sits on the everyday companion side of the shop and is most often bought for a birthday and no particular reason at all. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.

Where this sits in our shop

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Bashful Fox Cub is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
