Jellycat Birdling Pigeon
Birdling Pigeon comes in a soft blush pink, more petal than sweet-shop. Field-bred calm, the sort of creature that has never once been in a hurry. The colour runs right through, underside included. Easy to give and difficult to hand back.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.

A pink bird at 10 cm, Jellycat Birdling Pigeon belongs to the part of Jellycat’s range made for holding.
About Birdling Pigeon
The fur is the soft, slightly weighted kind that has made Jellycat’s animals hard to put down. The colourway is pink, and the face is stitched rather than printed, so it keeps its expression through washing and through years of being carried about.
How big it is
Birdling Pigeon stands 10 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.
The collection it belongs to
This one comes from the Birdling range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.
Made from, and looking after it
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.
Suitability
As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.
About A Flying Wish
A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Birdling Pigeon among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
