Jellycat bee Queen

At 31 cm, Jellycat Bee Queen is a yellow bee built to be carried rather than shelved.

The piece itself

What distinguishes Bee Queen is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of yellow and black is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

How big it is

The height is 31 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

The collection it belongs to

The Jellycat Characters range is where Bee Queen comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.

Suitability

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Bee Queen is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
