At 33 cm, Jellycat Harkle Donkey is a grey donkey built to be carried rather than shelved.
The piece itself
Harkle Donkey has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of grey carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.
How big it is
The height is 33 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.
Part of the Jellycat Characters range
Within Jellycat’s catalogue Harkle Donkey belongs to Jellycat Characters, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.
Materials and care
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.
Choosing it as a gift
The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.
Where this sits in our shop
What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Harkle Donkey is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
