Jellycat Smudge Monkey

There is a stillness to Jellycat Smudge Monkey, a brown monkey of 13 cm that asks to be picked up.

A closer look

The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Smudge Monkey sits rather than topples, in a colourway of brown that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.

Measurements and fit

Smudge Monkey stands 13 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Smudge Monkey sits within the Smudge range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Reshape it while it is damp and it dries the way it was made. That takes a minute and it is the only part of the process that really matters.

Choosing it as a gift

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

About A Flying Wish

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Smudge Monkey is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
