Jellycat Shadow Shark
Shadow Shark, in a gentle grey, the shade of weather rather than concrete. It has come up from somewhere blue and cold and taken the calm with it. The fur is the same everywhere your hand lands, which is the part photographs never show. It earns its place on the shelf within a day.

There is a stillness to Jellycat Shadow Shark, a grey shark of 22 cm that asks to be picked up.
About Shadow Shark
The fur is the soft, slightly weighted kind that has made Jellycat’s animals hard to put down. The colourway is grey, and the face is stitched rather than printed, so it keeps its expression through washing and through years of being carried about.
Measurements and fit
The measurement is 22 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.
The collection it belongs to
Within Jellycat’s catalogue Shadow Shark belongs to Jellycat Characters, and that is the useful thing to know when you are choosing a second one. A range shares its finish and its proportions, so pieces from the same family photograph well together and, more practically, often share a centimetre band, which means they can share a wardrobe.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.
Who it is for
It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.
Where this sits in our shop
A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Shadow Shark is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
