Jellycat Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog
Meet Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog, in brown that holds the light rather than swallowing it. It brings the hush of the undergrowth, where nothing hurries and everything listens. Soft to the point of being difficult to put down again. The sort of present that outlasts the occasion it was bought for.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.

At 14 cm, Jellycat Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog is a brown hedgehog built to be carried rather than shelved.
About Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog
What distinguishes Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of brown and cream is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.
Size and fit
At 14 cm, Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.
Part of the Bashful range
Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog belongs to Jellycat’s Bashful range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Bashful pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.
Materials and care
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.
Suitability
As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.
About A Flying Wish
A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Pipsy Bashful Hedgehog among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
