Jellycat Fluffy Whale

Meet Jellycat Fluffy Whale, a blue whale of 10 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.
The piece itself
Fluffy Whale is made from the dense, brushed fabric Jellycat uses across its animals. The colouring is blue, deepest along the back and lighter underneath, which is what gives the shape its softness in photographs and in a dim room.
How big it is
Fluffy Whale measures 10 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.
Part of the Fluffy range
Fluffy Whale is part of Fluffy. If you have one already, the rest of that range is the obvious place to look next, and the centimetre sizes overlap often enough that an outfit bought for one will usually fit another. We keep the range listed together for exactly that reason, and the size guide has the full table of what fits what.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.
Who it is for
It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.
Why we stock it
What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Fluffy Whale is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
