Jellycat Fleury Daffodil

A yellow amuseable from Jellycat, Jellycat Fleury Daffodil is stocked in two sizes, 18 cm and 35 cm so there is one to suit the shelf it is going on.

The piece itself

Amuseables work because the joke is gentle. Fleury Daffodil is yellow and green, given a face and two feet and otherwise left to be the thing it is, and the restraint is the reason it still looks right on a shelf a year later.

Size and fit

The measurement is 18 cm and 35 cm depending on the size chosen. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Fleury range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Who it is for

It sits on the home and nursery decor side of the shop and is most often bought for a new home and a new arrival. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.

Where this sits in our shop

What we are trying to build is a shop where a companion and something for it to wear can be chosen in the same visit without any measuring anxiety. Fleury Daffodil is part of that, sized and banded so the outfit pages can be read against it directly.
