Jellycat Cushy Giraffe
Cushy Giraffe arrives in yellow with real warmth in it, the colour of afternoon. Wild in origin and thoroughly companionable in practice. It holds its own outline instead of folding into a heap. It photographs well and lives better.
Sold by A Flying Wish, an independent shop not affiliated with Jellycat or any other brand. Stock is limited to the units we hold.

At 32 cm, Jellycat Cushy Giraffe is a yellow giraffe built to be carried rather than shelved.
About Cushy Giraffe
Pick Cushy Giraffe up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs yellow and brown, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.
How big it is
The height is 32 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.
Where it sits in the Jellycat range
This one comes from the Cushy range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.
Fabric and washing
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.
Who it is for
It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.
About A Flying Wish
We are an outfit house first. The plush we stock, Cushy Giraffe among them, are the companions those outfits are made for, and we list every garment by the centimetre band it fits so nothing has to be guessed at. Each piece is checked before it is wrapped and sent.
