Jellycat Chandler Chinchilla

There is a stillness to Jellycat Chandler Chinchilla, a grey animal of 16 cm that asks to be picked up.

A closer look

Chandler Chinchilla is made from the dense, brushed fabric Jellycat uses across its animals. The colouring is grey, deepest along the back and lighter underneath, which is what gives the shape its softness in photographs and in a dim room.

Size and fit

The height is 16 cm. That single figure is what our outfit listings are matched against, which is why it is printed here rather than a rough category. If you are buying a garment at the same time, it is the only measurement you need.

The collection it belongs to

The Jellycat Characters range is where Chandler Chinchilla comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Who it is for

It is as fitting for a birthday as for no particular occasion at all. It is also one of the safer choices when you do not know the room it is going into, because it does not insist on a colour scheme.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Chandler Chinchilla is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
