Jellycat Belby Toucan

Jellycat Belby Toucan is a black toucan from Jellycat, and it stands 28 cm tall.

A closer look

What distinguishes Belby Toucan is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of black and yellow is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Measurements and fit

Belby Toucan measures 28 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

The collection it belongs to

The Jellycat Characters range is where Belby Toucan comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Who it is for

We list it under everyday companion, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Belby Toucan is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
