Jellycat Bashful Lion 2021

Jellycat Bashful Lion comes in two sizes, 18 cm and 31 cm, a beige lion soft the whole way through.

What it is like to hold

What distinguishes Bashful Lion is the texture. It is the same everywhere you touch it, with no hard seams and no stiff patches, and the colourway of beige is matched across the ears and paws rather than left to chance at the cutting stage.

Measurements and fit

At 18 cm and 31 cm depending on the size chosen, Bashful Lion is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

The collection it belongs to

Bashful Lion sits within the Bashful range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Nothing here needs special products. Warm water and a mild detergent are what the fabric was finished with in the first place, and anything stronger works against it.

Who it is for

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the everyday companion side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

About A Flying Wish

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Bashful Lion included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
