Jellycat Bashful Giraffe

Jellycat Bashful Giraffe is a yellow giraffe from Jellycat, and it stands 31 cm tall.

About Bashful Giraffe

Bashful Giraffe has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of yellow and brown carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Measurements and fit

Bashful Giraffe stands 31 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Bashful Giraffe is part of Bashful. If you have one already, the rest of that range is the obvious place to look next, and the centimetre sizes overlap often enough that an outfit bought for one will usually fit another. We keep the range listed together for exactly that reason, and the size guide has the full table of what fits what.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Choosing it as a gift

It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

Why we stock it

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Bashful Giraffe included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
