Jellycat Bashful Croc

Jellycat Bashful Croc arrives as a green animal, 39 cm from base to ear tip, soft the whole way through.

About Bashful Croc

Bashful Croc is made from the dense, brushed fabric Jellycat uses across its animals. The colouring is green, deepest along the back and lighter underneath, which is what gives the shape its softness in photographs and in a dim room.

Measurements and fit

The measurement is 39 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Bashful Croc belongs to Jellycat’s Bashful range, which is the part of the catalogue we stock most deeply because it is the part customers come back for. Pieces from one range tend to sit well together, so if you are building a set rather than buying a single companion it is worth looking across the rest of it. We list what is in stock on the Bashful pages, and the sizes are given in centimetres throughout so you can see at a glance which of our outfits will fit which piece.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Who it is for

It reads as everyday companion, which makes it an easy choice for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it is one of the pieces people come back for a second time once they have given the first.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Bashful Croc among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
