Jellycat Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast

Meet Jellycat Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast, a golden brown amuseable of 12 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.

What it is like to hold

The Amuseables idea is simple and it works. An ordinary thing is given a face, two small feet and enough personality to earn a place on a shelf. Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast reads as golden brown and white, and the stitching around the features is neat enough to look deliberate rather than merely cute.

Size and fit

Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast stands 12 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast sits within the Amuseables range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Choosing it as a gift

We list it under amuseables food and drink, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and no particular reason at all. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Amuseables Egglantine Egg on Toast among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
