Jellycat Amuseables Popcorn

Meet Jellycat Amuseables Popcorn, a cream amuseable of 22 cm that settles easily into the crook of an arm.

The piece itself

Amuseables Popcorn comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run cream and red, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.

Measurements and fit

Amuseables Popcorn stands 22 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

The Amuseables range is where Amuseables Popcorn comes from. Ranges matter more than they might seem to with Jellycat, because the character of a piece is set as much by the family it belongs to as by the animal it is. Buying within one range is the reliable way to end up with a shelf that looks deliberate rather than accumulated, and our outfits are sized to follow.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Left to dry naturally it keeps its shape, and the stitched features come through a wash unchanged, which is the advantage of embroidery over anything printed or glued.

Suitability

As a gift it works for a birthday and no particular reason at all, and it belongs to the amuseables food and drink side of what we stock. If you are buying for someone who already has one or two, the range it comes from is worth a look for something that will sit beside them.

Where this sits in our shop

Two things happen in this shop. We make outfits for plush companions, and we stock the companions themselves, Amuseables Popcorn included. Keeping both under one roof is the only way to be certain that what we sell to dress a plush actually fits the plush we sold.
