At 15 cm, Jellycat Amuseables Boiled Egg Groom is a white amuseable built to be carried rather than shelved.
About Amuseables Boiled Egg Groom
Amuseables Boiled Egg Groom comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run white and yellow, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.
Measurements and fit
The measurement is 15 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.
Where it sits in the Jellycat range
Amuseables Boiled Egg Groom sits within the Amuseables range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.
Made from, and looking after it
Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. That is the whole of it. It is worth following, because heat is what turns a soft plush into a stiff one, and no amount of brushing afterwards brings the pile back.
Suitability
Filed under amuseables food and drink, and chosen here for a wedding and a birthday more than anything else. It reads as considered rather than expensive, which is usually the harder thing to get right in a gift.
About A Flying Wish
A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Amuseables Boiled Egg Groom among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
