Jellycat Amuseable Sweetcorn

Jellycat Amuseables Sweetcorn is a yellow amuseable from Jellycat, and it stands 30 cm tall.

The piece itself

Amuseables Sweetcorn comes from the Amuseables, which take a familiar object and make a character of it. The colours run yellow and green, and the fabric has the faint nap that stops a plush looking flat in daylight, which is most of why these photograph as well as they do.

How big it is

Amuseables Sweetcorn stands 30 cm. We give the exact figure on every plush for one reason: it is the only number that tells you whether something will fit it. Our garment listings carry the same kind of figure, so the two can be read directly against each other without converting anything.

The collection it belongs to

This one comes from the Amuseables range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Fabric and washing

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Spot cleaning handles most of what happens day to day, and a full wash is rarely needed more than once or twice a year unless it has been somewhere muddy.

Who it is for

It sits on the amuseables food and drink side of the shop and is most often bought for a birthday and no particular reason at all. The kind of thing that ends up staying, rather than being put away after a week.

Why we stock it

Our outfits are cut, sewn and finished by us, not bought in, and the plush we stock are chosen because our pieces fit them. Amuseables Sweetcorn is one of those. If you are buying both at once, the centimetre band on this page is the number the garment listings are matched against.
