Belby Parrot Jellycat

Jellycat Belby Parrot is a green parrot from Jellycat, and it stands 28 cm tall.

About Belby Parrot

Pick Belby Parrot up and the weight is the first thing you notice: enough to feel substantial, not enough to be awkward in a child’s arms. The colourway runs green, and the pile is brushed in one direction so it catches the light.

Measurements and fit

Belby Parrot measures 28 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

The collection it belongs to

Belby Parrot sits within the Jellycat Characters range. We keep a range together on the shelf and on the site, because the pieces were designed to be seen that way, and because the sizes within a range often overlap enough that a single outfit fits more than one of them. The size guide sets out the centimetre bands, and every garment we make is listed against one of them.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Suitability

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and no particular reason at all. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Where this sits in our shop

A Flying Wish is a small operation and it shows in the useful way: orders are packed by the people who made the garments, and the plush, Belby Parrot among them, are checked rather than shipped straight from a box. The outfits are ours, the plush are Jellycat’s, and the sizing between them is the part we take care of.
