Zeke Monster jellycat

There is a stillness to Jellycat Zeke Monster, a multi-colour character of 17 cm that asks to be picked up.

The piece itself

Zeke Monster has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of multi-colour carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Size and fit

The measurement is 17 cm. Worth knowing to the centimetre rather than roughly, because our outfits are listed by the height they are cut for and a few centimetres is the difference between a dress that closes and one that does not. Measure base to head, and the size guide will tell you the rest.

Where it sits in the Jellycat range

This one comes from the Jellycat Characters range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Cool water and a little time are all it asks. Avoid wringing it out, since that is what distorts the seams, and press the water out with a towel instead.

Who it is for

We list it under fantasy and collectible, and it is picked here mostly for a birthday and a collector. Big enough to notice when it is unwrapped, and not so big that it has to find a permanent home the same day.
