Jellycat Dexter Dragon Large

There is a stillness to Jellycat Dexter Dragon, a green dragon of 50 cm that asks to be picked up.

The piece itself

Dexter Dragon has the quality that is hard to photograph and obvious in the hand, which is evenness. No thin patches, no hard filling anywhere, and a colourway of green carried right through to the underside rather than stopping where it stops being visible.

Measurements and fit

Dexter Dragon measures 50 cm. Heights are taken from the base to the top of the head rather than the tip of an ear, which is the figure the size guide lists, so a shelf or a cot space can be judged before it arrives.

Part of the Dragons range

Dexter Dragon is part of Dragons. If you have one already, the rest of that range is the obvious place to look next, and the centimetre sizes overlap often enough that an outfit bought for one will usually fit another. We keep the range listed together for exactly that reason, and the size guide has the full table of what fits what.

Materials and care

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Washing by hand keeps the nap on the fabric, which is the part a machine cycle flattens first, and it is the difference between a plush that still looks new after two years and one that does not.

Choosing it as a gift

The piece leans fantasy and collectible, and it has been chosen most often here for a birthday and a collector. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish began with outfits and grew into the plush that wear them. Dexter Dragon is stocked here because it fits that idea, and because the pieces we design are made to last as long as the companion they are made for.
