Jellycat Starry-Eyed Reindeer

There is a stillness to Jellycat Starry Eyed Reindeer, a yellow woodland animal of 18 cm that asks to be picked up.

What it is like to hold

The proportions are doing the work here. Slightly heavier through the base than the head, so Starry Eyed Reindeer sits rather than topples, in a colourway of yellow that stays readable in a nursery with the lights low.

How big it is

At 18 cm, Starry Eyed Reindeer is easy to size up against an outfit. Measure your own plush from the base to the top of the head and compare the two numbers directly. The size guide carries the full table, and every garment we make names the height it is cut for.

Part of the Christmas Characters range

This one comes from the Christmas Characters range. Jellycat design in ranges rather than one piece at a time, and it shows: the proportions, the face and the finish carry across, which is why collectors tend to buy two or three from the same family rather than one from each. Our own outfits are cut to centimetre bands for the same reason, so a piece bought a year later still has something in the wardrobe that fits it.

Made from, and looking after it

Polyester fabric with polyester filling. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Kept out of direct sunlight the colour holds for years. Fading is the one kind of wear that cannot be undone, and a sunny windowsill does it faster than handling ever will.

Choosing it as a gift

The piece leans everyday companion, and it has been chosen most often here for Christmas and a birthday. It wraps well, which matters more than it sounds when something is being given rather than kept.

Why we stock it

A Flying Wish stocks Jellycat plush alongside the outfits we design and make ourselves. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to fit many beloved plush companions, and the two halves of the shop are meant to be used together. Starry Eyed Reindeer is one of the plush our outfits are cut to fit, and the size guide sets out which pieces work with which band.
